Worked across a range of creative and operational based industries prior to joining the family business in 2014.
Have relished the opportunities and learnings from working amongst great people in sales, operations, management and our customers. The privilege of working in regional areas with regional people in an industry that is a major contributor to food supply security is something that crosses my mind frequently, especially while sneaking a swig of milk from the carton. Q1: Share some interesting facts about yourself
- Going for a wander in the bush is good for the soul.
- A good day starts with exercise (and a made bed).
- Some thing’s, like a crook knee, lead to positive experiences you may not have otherwise had i.e. golf, bike riding and romanticising competitive sport over the smell of Deep Heat.
Q2: What do you believe differentiates Reids from other companies?
A commitment to our values that runs deeper than a document or wall placard.
We also have a deep-seated desire to raise the bar on stockfeed for our customers by systemising our best practices, continually challenging these and improving our talent base of people through training and recruitment. The job on this is never done (or perfect) but I believe we continue to track in a positive direction.
Q3: What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learnt in life?
Things are never as good or as bad as what they seem.
This sounds a bit glib but it resonates as calm heads generally win the day.
Q4: Your goals or aspirations for the future.
To be fit, curious, improving and happy.
Q5: Quote or mantra that inspires you
It is not enough to be busy. So are the ants. The question is: What are we busy about? – Henry David Thoreau
