Weighbridge Operator
We currently have a great opportunity for full-time, Weighbridge Operators to take responsibility for testing and monitoring the quality of inbound commodities and ensuring stock levels are maintained at our Cobden and Colbinabbin sites.
Reid Stockfeeds are a leading Australian stockfeed manufacturer with bases across five locations covering Victoria, Southern NSW and SE South-Australia. A family-owned business; who place an emphasis on an enjoyable work atmosphere and recognising outstanding contributors.
The role includes
- Liaising with the commodity manager and suppliers to order and schedule delivery for raw materials and additives for the mill to meet production requirements.
- Inspecting and testing raw materials on arrival to ensure they meet contract and quality standards.
- Arranging monthly stock takes and ensuring raw ingredients are maintained for a just-in-time environment.
- Understanding quality standards for grain and protein requirements.
About You?
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Ideally with previous knowledge of weighbridge operations in stockfeed or with grain sampling experience.
- Ability to work autonomously and use initiative.
- Experience in customer service and/or administration.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Capable computer skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A reliable, committed, self-motivated team player with the willingness to learn and become part of a growing company.
